What and When
As part of the club's ongoing development and outreach programme we will be running a Go Ride coaching session on Saturday 2nd March 2013 commencing at 3pm sharp, finishing at 4pm.
Go-Ride is British Cycling's development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills. More information is available from British Cycling's Go Ride zone.
This week's session will include a basic bike and helmet safety check, a Go Ride class and an accompanying game and skills test.
The emphasis is on fun, safety and development of all of the participants regardless of their current level of ability.
The venue is Hitchin Boys' School - Grammar School Walk, Hitchin, Hertfordshire SG5 1J. Parking on Fishponds Road or at Grammar School Lane entrance. We will be using the "school" end of the grounds.
We can coach riders from ages 6-16 but we assume that all riders have basic bike handling ability and can ride without stabilisers.
